Introduction to Portraiture at Made in Stirling

This day long workshop will introduce you to the essentials of portraiture. Dealing with how to best utilise line and tone, different ways of capturing features and proportion,looking at background and composition. We will use a combination of self portraiture and working from your personal photographs to create drawn portraits. The follow up class introducing painting techniques will be running late Jan/early Feb. All materials are provided, please bring at least one close up good quality photograph (on a charged tablet or laptop is fine). Please bring your own lunch, or there’are plenty of nearby cafes. You do not have to have any drawing experience to attend this class.
