Introduction to Life Drawing-The Absolute Basics

Sometimes it can be a bit daunting, thinking about starting a life drawing class. Join us for this day workshop, learning the basics of rendering the human body in pencil and charcoal. We will cover proportion, a little anatomy and how to begin to recreate the human form on paper.
You will work from 2d worksheets and from life models, with full instruction from Fiona, your qualified and experienced tutor. You will have a chance to draw two different models to learn how to create the correct proportions, use negative space to help you check your drawing and how to make sure you have a successful outcome.
In addition, we will discuss how to make skin tones.
This is an ideal class for anyone who has an interest in life drawing, but feels they need a little grounding, or for students, looking to do portfolios for art college.
You do not need to have any drawing or artistic experience to attend, suitable for age 16 and up. Please note models will be nude.
