Introduction to Portraiture

This is a brief introduction to the history and practice of portraiture. Throughout the weekend you will learn proportions of the face, using line, tone and colour to describe features and give life to your work, and complete a drawn self portrait and a painted work using a photo of your choice. All materials are provided and you do not need any previous experience to come along but please do bring a high quality close up photo of someone you would like to paint (if using devices please make sure it is a tablet or larger and that your device is charged)Two days 10-4pm, all materials, coffee and tea are provided but please bring your own lunch or purchase from the many local establishments.
